Once in forty years!

 Hello Woofers!

Daisy here.

Well, we have had some rain here this morning, not much but enough to make the ground wet and for me to have my rain coat on for the first time this summer.

Because of the rain OTL decided not to take the camera with him but before long he was wishing he had.

Heading towards the car park and through the forest, OTL spotted a young badger snuffling through the under growth. I was sniffing elsewhere and missed it all together.

The badger was all of twelve inches long, or 300mm in new money!

It was running parallel to our path and crossed over the path ahead of us.

It was then that I saw it and ran up to chase it but it dived off the side f the path and I went running past where he was!

OTL said that in the forty years he has been living down here it is the first live badger he has seen!

Tomorrow I reckon he will take his camera and in forty years time he may see another badger!

Now we don't expect to see the badger again, but he took the camera out at lunchtime only to realise we go walkies in a different place!

These computers are getting to him!

Lilly leaves but no flowers yet!

No Froggies just snails!

Another tiddly snail!

It seems that all of the froggies have now gone and all we have left is snails.
Maybe it will be insects next, when the dragon flies hatch?

Bye for now.
Luv,

Daisy.

  1. Yo Daisy. Well, that Hairball Harry was in my garden this morning, my mum spotted him and she went out and told him to go home and put him on the fence. My mum let me out and I went to the very spot that Hairball had been in and found one of our froggies on his back, seems that Hairball is a murderer as well as a tealeaf. The frog was still alive so my mum put him over the small fence into the wild bit of garden so it had plenty of stuff to hide in. I wee'd all the way round the garden to remind Hairball, it's MY garden! Now last week my mum put the car in the garage after going shopping and a few hours later when we were coming back from our walk, one of the local was sniffing at the garage door, then we spotted a nose poking out from inside, well, my mum opened the garage and out shot Hairball! He must have been hiding under his TL's car wot's parked in our garage. Me and my mum got a tad damp on our walk this morning on account of when we went out the weather seemed fine, but not for long. Glad OTL managed to spot a badger and probably a good job you didn't catch it Daisy, my mum reckons they can fight quite well. Anyways, nearly time for my post luncheon constitutional, so take care and stay safe all. Love Chewie, my mum and my boy. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. Ohhh Daisy, that Hairball Harry caused ructions here tonight which resulted in me falling in the pond and my mum having to drag me out! Seems Harry came back to look for my frogs, I heard him behind the fence and hedge behind my pond so I went to investigate and fell in. My mum wasn't best pleased, then Harry couldn't get out of the space behind the fence so my mum tried to make a space for him to get through but he couldn't, so she went and got his mum, they locked me in the kitchen and coaxed Hairball out and suddenly my boy came down and let me in the garden, well, there was me and Harry the best of mates while my mum was having a fit thinking there would be fur flying. Me and Harry were having a good laugh together. Anyways, Harry's mum took him home and I got washed cos I was covered in muck from the pond, that didn't please me at all. I'm not sure yet if I want to have a dip again but my mum told me it wouldn't be a good idea. Anyways, sweet dreams Daisy. Love Chewie. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
