End of the year.

Hello Woofers. Daisy here. Well, finally it is here, the last day of the year and the start of a new one. It's rolled in with a bit a wind to blow the fog away but it will remain just as cold as it will be for the next few days. The weather man seemed to be delighted to tell us that for the next four days it will icy, cold and freezing. I have heard that Scotland has cancelled the New Year celebrations but to be honest I can't see a Scotsman spending  Hogmanay being sober! It's bad enough seeing OTL without a slurp! There is the possibility of snow later on.  So I could be talking to you from a snow drift! Bye for now. Luv, Daisy.

Visitors

Hello Woofers, Daisy here. I don't know about you but I'm getting just a little fed up with this foggy weather and damp mornings. This morning OTL was complaining that the drips were coming off the end of his nose as he was walking along the sea front! We had visitors today, Liz and Martin came to see us and they all went out to for a meal together. It ws a bit much that the didn't bring back a 'Doggy Bag' for me and all I had was a bowl of dried biscuits! Today OTL has been cleaning the gutters and shovelling out a ton of moss from the roof. Well one of the neighbours offered to do it while OTL hung on to the bottom of the ladder! That was a good idea as OTL is getting banned from climbing up ladders! TM has been making cards this afternoon  while  talking to Rose on the Internetty thingy. OTL has been up in the loft sorting out stuff and I've been asleep most of the afternoon. If I had my way I would have sent them back for some doggy bags! No Doggy Bags than...

Heading Towards Springtime.

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy Dog  here. Well, I don't know what the weather is like your end but down here it has been foggy all day. It started off this morning when OTL spent an extra five minutes trying to find the fog lights on the dash board! When we got down to Grain sea front we couldn't see the sea! .........and to prove it, this is the view from the Poo Bin! The same view could be seen down the other end of the walk...........! During the day the fog kept hanging around so when we went out at lunch time it was hit and. miss if we found the trees to wee up! It was the same late afternoon when we went out later and to be hones I reckon it''s going to be the same for a couple of days! Back home OTL decided to watch the last two episodes of Harry Potter before The Missus captures the latest episode of some detective  program she has been watching for the last three weeks. See you all tomorrow  and don't forget, Spring is another day earlier today! Luv, Daisy.

Hello!

Image
Hi all you Woofers It's Daisy here again! I hope you have all had a super Christmas like wot. we have had. Rose and Phil made a present of a super Christmas  cake that OTL couldn't open until Christmas! Yeah, and we saw Santa and just had to leave a slurp of whisky just to keep him warm! Young Chewie sent over a super squeaky toy that I have been driving OTL with! In the same preside OTL got a super Boot pair of socks that make it easy to get his paw in and out of, Dead Sexy! Thanks Chewie. We had  some super walks and OTL says it was most unusual not to see the Mini Two Legs riding around on their new bikes. and falling off! Boxing Day has been fun, I've been woofing to go out and have met up with some new woofers across the field but they have been visitors and a bit wary of being in a new area with unknown dogs, like wot I am! I've been making a pig of myself with chews and Turkey left overs! Now I'm going to go to bed early tonight 'cos I'm just too ful...

Merry Christmas!

Image
Merry Christmas to all my readers. I have been sniffing around the. tree roots. and I reckon there is a few squeaky things and some chicken nibble sticks! I'll have to wake them up good and early just to make sure of my suspicions I'm off to bed now just to make sure I'm up good and early! Luv to you all, Daisy.

A Lazy Day!

Image
HelloWoofers, Daisy here again. Well, I finished my letter to Santa Paws and I asked him to leave nibbles and chews plus a pack of chicken breast and some ham that wasn't eaten yesterday! Of course I asked for some squeaky  toys 'cos lets face it, what is three thirty in the morning for! This morning the sunrise was rather pathetic, there was little colour in the sky, in fact it was pretty hard to find any sort of enthusiasm !    Not the best sunrise we have ever seen! We were hoping it wild get better as we got closer to the forest but in the end we were disappointed . One of the best things, it's not raining or snowing and the wind is not as strong as the weatherman has forecast! OTL says he is going to be having a lazy day today sitting in front of the tv or listening to Terry Pratchett audio book on his iPad! I shall. spend all day sleeping in my bed! Bye for now, luv, Daisy.

Today we had visitors

Hello Woofers Daisy here We were out early today and managed to get around the morning walk in total darkness and through the forest as well. We got back home in no time at and it was just as well cos We had Auntie Glynis and Uncle Alun who have come for a Christmas visit! TM and Alun had a fun time arguing about politics  and generally putting the world tonight! Which is TM favourite game especially  after a slurp of vino! OTL kept quiet and let them get on with it, far too dangerous to get involved! Did you know that we are now heading off towards Spring time? We have just passed the Winter Solstice so the now the days will be getting longer and the nights shorter.  We didn't get down to Stone Henge where OTL has always fancied visiting on a Solstice or Equinox, I'm not sure what they get up to but it sounds like a load of fun! I have been writing out my list for Santa Paws and OTL will be checking the spelling and getting ready for    Santa's visit on C...

Half a sunrise!

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy back again! Since getting my fishy new collar we have been getting out early, in fact we are out before any of the other woofers. Now all OTL can get is a pre-sunrise, when the conditions are right. That way he has to be more creative with his sunrise. If its too dark or he gets the settings wrong the result is a disaster!  Yes, it's a terrible attempt to get the sunrise and lights! Now, with the settings in the right position and a rock steady grip on the camera he can produce this. A Sheerness Sunrise! I was sitting behind the French Windows lookin out into the back garden when I suddenly realised I haven't seen Cooking Fat for some time. Cooking Fat is that Black, Brown and White cat that would try to catch and kill. the birds on the bird feeders. Maybe he's given up and gone to terrorise birds somewhere else in the village. I prefer the sunrise! I'd better go and see what's for lunch, chicken is number one on my list! Bye for now. Luv, Dai...

All lit up!

Image
Hello Woofers Guess who? Well, it arrived and OTL. spent ages getting it all fired up and working as it should be. Mind you when it is all switched on it looks dead smart! All glowing and two rates of flash! Mind you, I only have it on steady rate of flash you know, one on and one off! I didn't take the camera out and of course it just happened that today we met up with Devo and Zoro! Since their Two legs has got a new job they have had to get up a whole hour earlier! It was aa lot darker than normal and on top of that I had fun diving in and out of the bushes! It's fun diving in and out of the bushes. Today has been a lazy day, OTL has been up in the loft sorting out some old stock he hopes to get rid of after Christmas and I have been snoozing the afternoon away! This evening we plan to watch the 007 DVD box set,, that is unless we all fall asleep! Bye for now. Luv, Daisy.

Monday Fun

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy Dog Here. Monday has arrived and I've been listening to OTL telling TM that he has brought me a flashing collar and it was due today! Trubble is we are out at six and delivery will be around nine tonight! If the collar comes before we go to bed I might be able to sneak a walk around around the field and show off the lights! This morning we got down to the sea side around seven but the view was terrible, a real gloomy morning! Well, maybe it will get better tomorrow! We got welcomed by Amber and Hugo and the test of The Lads as the were walking along the sea wall. A little fuzzy but lets face it, it was as dark as hell on the sea wall! Amber is getting better at saying hello, she is going easy with the old 'Bonk' game and instead just doing a hello sniff!  Well, the collar has arrived and now I've chopped it to length  and I plan to use it tonight when we do the final walk! Bye for now . Luv, Daisy.

Sunday is a fun day!

Image
Hello Woofers Daisy here. Iv'e just worked out that as I am fifteen years old, that equates to being equal to seventy six of the  Two Legs years! Now that means I am as old as The Missus and gaining on OTL! The best is I get immediate attention on anything I want and to be honest that means Nibbles, Walkie's, Games or the best snoozing position on the sofa! We left home a little later than normal but were greeted with a half hearted sunrise. Well, the sunrise is somewhere over there! We tried to make climb quicker by jumping up and down but it didn't work! So, we wandered along the top path jumping up and down but nothing changed! No, nothing has changed, it's still hiding behind the clouds around the horizon! I must say, OTL came sneaky and decided to photograph me jumping up and down but he could only catch me with my paws on the ground! I'm not going to Paws for him  When we got back to the car we saw the Sunday Sweats Pumping Iron on their quest to grow big mus...

Where do you wee?

Image
Hello Woofers. It's me again! Well,  it was cold first thing this morning, but it wasn't windy or wet, for a change! It was too early for a sunrise but there was a little slash of sunrise above Sheerness Docks, just enough to notice but not enough to get excited about. There was nothing else to photograph from there and through the forest , mind you the path was a bit slippery! The lunchtime walk was fun, being a Saturday means we get some strange woofers turn up in the field without understanding the rules! I mean, the rules say you are not allowed to wee up the goal post, you must wee up the tree! We have plenty of trees to wee up and if you don't want to wee up a tree then there is enough grass and bushes to cock your leg up! The Missus has produced another video but because FaceAche has mucked up the  controls, she won't know if it works until later this afternoon.  If it don't work OTL and I will be going out fr a long walk! Bye for now. Luv,   Daisy.

Another Damp Dreary Day

Hello Woofers It's Daisy again. It's been a right pig of a couple of days. You know we have spent two days looking into the horizon at what can only be described as nuffin! Looking out to sea we saw fine shot of mist. No sea just mist! I spent a long time snoozing in my bed while OTL has been on the telephone to the car insurance about being overcharged of which ended up with a refund of £69.96! Don't you just love it when you get a refund! We got letter from the electricity company tell OTL they are reducing his monthly charge.  It's not a refund 'cos we have been overpaying for a couple of years and now they want to balance it up! Mind you, it feels like a refund! Warm weather is due to arrive over the next couple of days. Bye for now.  Luv, Daisy.

A Cold Damp Day

Hello Woofers,  Daisy Dog here. It's been a damp day here in North Kent. We got out a bit late this morning and while it was windy, cold and damp OTL was given the task of walking along the path looking at his feet for TM's glass which had dropped out yesterday! Needless to say couldn't find it and ended up with a stiff neck! Today we have been lazy, OTL has been working away on the computer while TM has been playing about making Christmas cards that will given out to the neighbours a bit closer to Christmas! I'll be glad when the nights get shorter and spring starts to bring on the warmer weather. OTL says we will have some bad weather in January and February and there could by snow, brrr! I'm going back to my bed! By for now. Luv, Daisy.

Late again!

Image
Hello Woofers Daisy here. You know OTL is getting really lazy these grey mornings.  At one time we would be up by six and on the road good and early, down the sea front by seven and back to the car by seven forty five. Nowadays we are still in bed at seven and just waving to the lads by seven forty five, missing all the lads and the other woofers. The mornings are still grey and the chances of getting a sunrise is almost zero! The only activity is the birds getting their breakfast as the tide slowly fades out into the Medway Mud! Further along the sea front we come across the glory that is Sheerness Docks! We remember when the docks were full of ships unloading cargo, there were four container cranes.  Across the river on the Grain docks there are just three cranes left as the rest were shipped off to Tilbury. Just before we turned off towards the forest, the sky sort of twisted around and we were presented with  another attempt at being a grey morning! TM has spent...

A Touch of Wind!

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy back again! Well, didn't it blow yesterday, we went out early to drop TM off at the village hall then we headed for the sea side. We didn't take the camera because it was dark and gloomy. Going around our normal walk we got blown one way then around the corner we get blown in the other direction! We met up with the lads who were heading home via the forest and keeping a watch out for falling trees! Today was just the same except today TM decided to come along with us. It was still windy  and we got blown one way and around the corner the wind blew the other way and we could almost lean back into the wind and get blown along! Now yesterday TM brought home a wondrous creation produced by Master Cake Maker Phil this is a cake worthy of the Gods! It seems Phil and Rose (Boss Lady) know it is likely OTL would start nibbling well before the 25th December! Now TL also likes Sour Dough bread and young Judith very kindly saves a small loaf for OTL each time they h...

Getting all lit up!

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy Dog here! Finally all the leaves have been blown of the tree and with a little help they have blown into the next doors garden! The 'Wild' end of the garden, the one that is left for the insects and bugs is getting ready for them to come and investigate! It's even got a hedgehog house all ready for installation The sky this morning wasn't as brilliant  as we had hoped but it made a change from that dull grey we have been having over the last week or so! Once we got back from the morning walk OTL was sent up to loft to get the Christmas Decorations down. Once down OTL got instructed on assembling and wiring up and searching for a multi way electrical socket! Of course, I sat on the chair and gave instructions to OTL on the correct installation. The other decorations will no doubt be fiddled with by The Missus. over the next few days. Don't worry, OTL and I will put them back when she isn't watching! Bye for now, Luv, Daisy

A bald Chewie!

Image
Hello Woofers Daisy here again. I've been looking at the picture of Chewie after his hair cut and to be honest he looks just like a lion! His coat has been laid out in front of him and looks like a sheep's coat just after it has been shorn.  I think Chewie is going to accept a hair cut in the end! This morning we were up early but not early enough to catch the Lads, so we waved to them as we passed. I'm going to beat them to the car park!  The sky was rather dismal, in fact it looked rather terrible, we couldn't even make a decent shot of Sheerness!  Well, we have done better than this but we are not impressed! The lunchtime walk was colder than it was this morning, I can see the crane is still on the site but the equipment was slowly being removed, who knows it may be gone by Christmas! I do enjoy the after lunch snooze, after I've robbed OTL of half of his lunch! Bye for now. Luv, Daisy

Another late get up!

Image
Hello Woofers Daisy here. I was up late this morning, OTL, a whole hour later than normal and sort of staggered around trying wake up and look intelligent. Unfortunately. first thing in the morning OTL has trouble seeing any more than couple of feet in front of him. And him looking intelligent in the morning is definitely a no no! Down along the sea wall there was no one out walking so I had the whole sea front to my self! Well, it could be better but maybe tomorrow will produce a sunrise. I like Chewie's rejection of the facial trim, I have the same problem but it's my butt they can't get near! I wriggle and twist all over the pace as she tries to make my backside acceptable!   Lucky for me I won't need a hair cut for two or three months! Now, just because he liked the shape, OTL Tok. this picture of the leaf of a bramble bush. A Four Leaf Bramble Leaf! Awe, common, it's winter time and there's not a lot to photograph! Bye for now. Luv, Daisy

Cold weather on its way!

Image
Hell Woofers, Daisy here. We were out good and early before it was light this morning and I enjoyed a super sniff back down the road, OTL had to run after me. I could sniff Devo and Zoro but I'm not sure the sniff was todays! OTL was not a happy puppy! In the end I was chased back down the path and across the field together with a warning! Do I take any notice? No! The weather was dark and grey and looking towards the horizon we were unsure what the clouds meant! A Typhoon, water spout, or  storm? Of course I knew was just clouds! Looking over to Sheerness we could see the clouds beginning to break up as we headed towards the forest. The lights of Sheerness docks. In the distance we could hear the woofing of The Lads  chasing their balls! The lunchtime walk was a bit windy but again nothing to worry about, however, the weatherman was showing a map with loads of blue bits on and that means it is getting cold in the next couple of days and what's even worse it's going to g...
